
i'm sure you've heard the term "slow news day". well, with the holidays and generally slow start to the catering year, things have been pretty quiet here at marigold, hence the shortage of postings. now is the time of year when we put a lot of time and effort into planning for the upcoming months; filling our days with meetings, meetings, and meetings. we also have a lot of meetings. as youcan imagine, this doesn't make for much in terms of blog postings. as a semi-interesting event (at least it made for a good picture), my executive sous chef, mike smith, and i got to tour the blue ribbon meats facility yesterday to see how they do things and maybe find out about some new products. this is our "mission accomplished" shot graciously taken by our salesman, tom. it was a fun and informative field trip which differed from those of our youth in that beforehand we got beer. yay!
